Week 10

This is it!!! The last of the comp class i had to take. i learned a great deal of this class. Just turned in my paper. i am happy with it so i know i will probably get a decent grade.

week 9...April 1 posting

man this class has flew by quick; so much has happen within the past week that my head is spinning; Fiirst lets start by saying that my brand new laptop got stuck doing 1 of 84 updates since last sunday; i took it to the shop tuesday after letting it run for two days and it still update ANYTHING!!!! I couldnt log on to any homework or class Monday and Tuesday. It suppose to be ready today(thursday) when i get off work; Second, my friend mom died last saturday. He and his family were prepare for it as she had dementia and most of her organs was shutting down; so they took her home were she was most comfortable at. Her wake is tonight and i am gonna have to make it because her funeral is tomorrow (friday) morning and i have to work. So that means i have to do Option 2 justin case i am not back in time for class tonight. Third, I got "got" today on April Fool's day. This guy who i have been seeing off and on emails me today while on my way to work that since i am so undecided what it is i want that he decided to date this other girl he has known for a while. He say everything is good with him and may see a possible future of marriage with her. I was livid. How dare he email me that. I didnt care if i took forty days and nights to respond to him!! Of course i told him off and acted like i didnt care but i did cause i really do like him. I just so been consume with school, work, home and my son ya know!! well after a half hour after he tells me that and im now sitting her sitting at working mad as ever he emails me "april fool"!! thats funny to say the least and i let him have it; he apologized and said he will make it up to me!!! right now i am still mad but its funny-i got "got"!!!! ttyl!!!

week 8

Wow this class is almost over!!! yeah!!! why i sound so excited?? believe it not this class isnt as easy as i thought it would be. i do understand the concept and the importance of it but dang...so detailed too!!!! I managed to get my paper down from 12 pages to bout 8 now. steady revising, deleting, paraphrasing and all that good stuff. i just hope my professor likes it and i get a decent grade. nevertheless, i will be glad when im done. The weather was really nice and me buying into it dressed like it was 80 degrees and up instead of dresing correctly. I caught a cold and i am not feeling well. Theraflu is calling me so i will chat with ya later!

Its almost here....

We are going thru the critiquing two people's paper (draft). So far i have read two papers that was very interesting. I know we all are not professionally writers but they were indeed interesting. I try to look at the paper in a complete sense as long as i understand what they are saying regardless of the typos (as i am the queen of typos). I feel that we are all on the same road when it comes to this paper. Everyday i am deleting, adding, rearranging it from the first draft that i posted. So far i have four versions of the same topic. I will focus on putting all of them together by the end of the week. Wish me luck. If i get a decent grade out of this i will consider writing more often...who knows i might become the next best author!!!!

march 15th...week

Hey everyone!!
Another week has gone by and only a few left until the writing class is over. We had to do an outline and a thesis for this weeks assigment. It was more difficlut writing my outline/thesis than my paper because i have so much info i want to add but i needed to narrow down the importance of the paper. In my eyes, everything in my paper is important-lol; i just want to be able to do a good job on this; the topic i chose-cosmetic surgery- has a lot of info; After researching this info it quickly changed my mind of ever having one (cons). I was watching a program on a little girl from Haiti who at the age of 3 years old was growing a tumor on her face; by the time she was 12 the tumor weighed 12 pounds covering her entire face, affecting her sight, breathing, and eating; at the time of the show aired three years ago she underwent 5 surgeries to remove the tumor and try to reconstruct her face as she had no bone to add from; everything had to be wired or add artificially just so she had some type of shape to her face. Although the program i watched was recorded in 2009 she was then 17, back im Miami for her 6th surgery to reconstruct her jaw. her appearance was coming along. She ia at the age where she now thinks about ever getting married or a boyfriend as she very conscious on how she will appear to the male prospect. She has to have many more sugeries in her future. Im not sure whats going on with her now since the earthwuake in Haiti in 2010. i pray that she and her family are okay. i guess i will have to stay tune to see....

week 6...man! school and upcoming concert trip

Ok!!! i was really stressing yesterday about my writing class and how i felt i wasnt keeping up; I managed to put an extra hour into last night and this morning while on my break and lunch at work. I got my paper typed out-Barbie Effect-Cosmetic Surgery; i went over and over it til i was seeing doddle; so many things i had to put in it (citations, paraphrasing, making it was plagiarize). That right there is nerve wrecking..lol; Im a little calmer today about my feeling toward this class so i think i will be alright.

Today also i managed to reserve a hotel for me and my friends to attend the Macy's Jazz fest July 30-31. This is a big concert event at the Paul Brown stadium in Cincinnati. We are only going to the Friday night show. Teena Marie, Jaheim, Cameo, melanie Fiona, and Charlie Wilson are performing. Tickets are $75 (mid chair section) each night. Whats more exciting is that its actually more activity going on outside the stadium than there is in. All kinds of vendors, activities, and performance by local artist. I am a people person so i am loving this. I went two years ago with my sister who decided to go at the last minute. We were suppose to leave at two as its a 2.5 hour drive. We left at 5 oclock instead (her doing)and the concert started at 7:30-i was heated. I took my son and she took her daughter (both 13 then). i took my son so he can visit his sister (my daughter lives in Cincinnati) and thinking my sister was gonna leave my neice there as well. Oh no!!!! My sister drug my neice along to the concert. My sister made a wrong turn on the expressay taking us out the way of the concert of an hour. When she finally realized we were going the wrong way after i told her several times before 'this isnt the way" we finally made it downtown Cincinnati at 8:55 pm and we still had to find parking. yes i missed two performances on a $75 ticket!!!! I think my neice was the only 13 year old and she hated it...lol!!! Anyway this time as i stated im going with my friends minus my sister. If she wants to go then she will have to do it solo. ttyl!!!

writing class

This is class is a lot harder than i anticipated for me; When i first logged on to class and read over the requirement i though man this is gonna be easy but its not. I find it kinda hard to keep up with this as well writing a little every day on this paper, my other class, work, and my home life. although its teaching me a lot i still feel like I'm suffering; i am ahead as for writing my paper as i add a little info every other day but with all the other additives got me questioning if i can pass this class with a sufficient grade; i wasn't able to log onto class last Thursday as minutes before class started my son cut his finger on a glass while washing dishes which required me to take him to the ER for a four hour wait in the waiting room and three stitches to his right middle finger. my only solution to this is for me to buckle down the remainder of the weeks and log on as often between work and home so i can get things done
